Photography and production coordination in Vienna

Alongside the photography, I can develop moodboards, arrange locations and models, and assemble and direct the team. We agree which parts of the production I will handle when we discuss your brief.

  • Concept and moodboard: we translate your brief into a shot plan and a shared visual direction.
  • Models, styling and hair & makeup: I can assemble the team or work with your existing creative partners.
  • Studio or location: we plan the setting, required images and schedule together.
  • Photography, selection and retouching: image count, editing scope, formats, usage and delivery date are agreed in advance.

What we can create together

  • Campaign

Campaign imagery for collections, product launches and brands, from the first moodboard to the finished photographs.

  • Lookbook & E-Commerce

Collections photographed with consistent lighting and colour. We plan the looks, shot list and production scope before the shoot.

  • Beauty

Carefully lit studies of skin, hair and make-up, with retouching that respects texture and fine detail.

  • Jewellery

Jewellery photographed on the body or as still life, using light and reflection to reveal form, materials and craftsmanship.

From the first conversation to the final images

  1. Briefing

We start with your idea, the images you need and where they will be used. That informs the moodboard, location, casting, team and proposal. You can bring a finished concept or a starting point for us to develop.

  2. Production

On set, I handle photography and the production responsibilities we have agreed. The brief guides the shoot; light, composition and working with the models bring the idea into the photographs.

  3. Selection & post-production

We agree image selection, retouching, file formats and delivery dates for the production, so you know what you will receive for the intended use.

What should a photography brief include?

Start with what you want to show and where the photographs will appear. A lookbook calls for a different selection from a jewellery story or individual images for an online shop. These details help us plan the shoot:

  • Brand, products and audience: which collection or story is the focus?
  • Use and formats: website, magazine, lookbook or social media; portrait or landscape orientation and space for copy.
  • Images and scope: which products, model shots and details are needed? Do you have visual references?
  • Organisation: preferred shoot date, location, delivery deadline, budget range and any team already in place.
  • Usage: which media, territories and period should the agreed usage cover?

You do not need a finished concept for the first conversation. Point me towards work from my portfolio that fits your direction: Vaara for fashion and activewear, or Orlov and VON KÖCK for jewellery. We define the scope in your proposal.

Social media clips: concept, filming and editing

I handle concept, filming and editing for social media clips. We discuss the platform, format, desired length and number of clips for your project. Include these requirements in your enquiry so we can plan photography and video together.

Project inquiry

Tell me which brand or publication you are working with, what you want to create and how the images will be used. Timing and location can still be undecided.

An outline is enough. Marina will reply personally within 24 hours.

Frequently asked questions

What does commercial photography cost?

The fee depends on preparation, shoot requirements, crew, post-production and licensing. A short brief is enough for an initial discussion; I then prepare a proposal for your production.

How is usage licensing handled?

Your proposal specifies the channels, territories and period covered by the licence. If you need additional uses later, we can discuss an extension. Copyright remains with me.

Do you produce outside Vienna?

Yes. Vienna is my base, and I have worked in Rome, Paris and Tuscany, among other places. Travel and accommodation are listed separately in the quote. For productions abroad I plan a preparation day on location whenever the venue and the light make it worthwhile.

Do we need a finished concept?

No. For the first inquiry, your brand or publication, an outline of the idea, intended image use and approximate timing are enough. We can also work from an existing brief. We discuss the need for moodboards, locations, models and a team together.

What details make photography quotes comparable?

Compare more than a day rate. Preparation, shoot time, crew, location, final image count, retouching and agreed usage may differ. Give each photographer the same shot list, timing and intended media. This makes it easier to understand what each proposal actually includes.

Which image formats should we decide before the shoot?

List the actual uses: website header, magazine page, online shop, feed post or story. Landscape, portrait and square layouts require different compositions. Headlines and logos need space within the image. A tight crop cannot simply be expanded later. A list of priority uses helps us plan the required variations while shooting.

How should we prepare products and collections?

List the products, variants and details that must be shown. Match each shot to the correct item and check its condition before the shoot. Fashion requires sizes and outfit combinations; jewellery requires key views and a choice between model shots and still life. Separate essential images from optional ideas.

What does Marina handle for social media clips?

I handle the concept, filming and editing. We start with your message, product and the platform where the clip will appear, then agree on the shots, sequence, length and number of clips. This service is for social media content; it does not describe a full video advertising campaign with media planning.

Can we create photographs and social media clips in one shoot?

We can plan both together. The brief needs to include both photo and video shots: movement for a clip may require a separate take, while a photograph may need a different pose or lighting setup. Agree on which content has priority. The shot list lets us assess what can realistically be achieved in one session.

What should we specify about editing, formats and revisions?

Specify the platform, aspect ratio, desired length, number of clips and deadline. Mention whether you need text, subtitles, music or different versions, and share brand guidelines. Selection, approvals and revision scope also need agreement. These details belong in the proposal rather than being assumed unlimited.
